Poker Tournaments

The Crucible Sports and Social Club hosts a weekly No Limits Texas Hold’em Poker Tournament every Friday evening. Registration is from 6:30pm with the tournament commencing at 7pm.

The buy in is £10, with no re-buys. There are typically 4 – 5 tables in operation, with players being eliminated and eventually the tournament reaches a final table. All money is paid out in prize money with the winner receiving 60% of the total pot, runner up 30% and third place 10%.

Both members and guests are welcome to enter the tournament, but guests within the club will be charged a £2 guest fee.

Each week £10 is donated from the prize fund into the “Final table Event” which will be played at Christmas. Players accumulate Ranking Points each week for each Poker tournament they enter. The top ranked players at the end of the season will contest the final table event, whereby all money raised throughout the year will be doubled by the Crucible Sports & Social Club to make a large cash prize fund for players to battle for.

The weekly Poker tournaments have been a huge success since the club launched in April 2011. We have a large following of regular Poker players, and tournaments are played in a very friendly manner. New players are always welcome. All you have to do to enter is attend the club and register before the tournament commences.
