Poker

The 2011 final table poker event was contested on Saturday 21st July. The prize fund was £1100 with the winner scooping £660 and the runner up £330.

The 16 top ranked players from the 2011 rankings competition contested the final table event in a tournament that lasted 8 hours before Lee Brunsden was eventually victorious, beating Craig Marsh in heads up poker. 2011 top ranked poker player Phil Bolter managed to grab third place in the event with Max Ellison picking up the cash prize for fourth place.

It was a great tournament, run in a very professional manner by local player and the man who launched poker within the club Darryl Sowden. A big thank you to all the players who entered and special thanks to Darryl for giving up his time to ensure the tournament ran smoothly.
