The 1997 World Champion Ken Doherty will be appearing at the Crucible Club for an exhibition of Snooker for the Reading & District Snooker League presentation Evening.

The darling of Dublin will be playing Reading league competition winners.  There will also be a buffet, a raffle and a chance to meet Ken for photographs and autographs.

Tickets are now on sale at the Crucible Club for only £10.

Entry Fee

The entry fee is £25 per player, payable in advance or on the day.

Tickets for the Mark Selby Exhibition on Saturday 9^th May are also on sale for £15 each, so a payment of £40 obtains and entry to the Open Tournament and entry to the Mark Selby Event.

Format

Straight Knock out Tournament, randomly drawn with no seedings. Last 32 & 16 rounds are the best of 5 frames. The remainder of the tournament is best of 7 frames each round.

Handicaps apply as follows: Professional Player (-21) Amateur Player (-7) Club Amateur Player (0)

Prize Money

Subject to 32 Entries the prize money is as follows:

If we get more than 32 players then prize fund will increase accordingly. All monies are added to the prize fund.

Singles Competition – Saturday 14th March

£10 entry (includes free entry to plate competition).

£200 guaranteed to the winner plus additional entry fees to be added to the prize fund

Best of 3 sets each round, Semi Final and Final to be best of 5 sets.

Registration 10 am with a 10:30 am start.

The winner and runner up will represent The Crucible at the IPA World Championship event at Lakeside 21-26 January 2014.

The winner of the qualifier with be entered into both the Singles and the doubles competitions with the runner up partnering them in the doubles.

All rounds to be a best of 9 frames
Semi-Finals and Final to be a best of 11 frames

£110 from entry fees will be deducted to cover the entry fees into the IPA World Championship at Lakeside in January with all remaining monies to be given out as prize money.

Update: It is with great regret that this event has been cancelled by the organisers due to low ticket sales. This is an event organised by others and the cancellation is beyond our control. If you were planning on attending but had not bought a ticket – it may be worth contacting Stuart Stevens on 07884 260226 as it may be possible to save the event – remember it is for the Help for Heroes Charity, a very worthy cause.

Local band Uptown Traffic will be performing live here at the Crucible in aid of  Help for Heroes.

The Joanne Smith Memorial Trophy will be run annually with proceeds from raffles and donations going to St. Michaels Hospice in Basingstoke.

£100 guaranteed to the winner plus additional entry monies will be added to the prize fund.

Each round will consist of Best of 3 Legs and the Final Best of 5 Legs.

Tuesday Night Darts Money League

Starts 10^th September – Entries now Required.  First 32 players registered only!!

Entry £25 per player.  The crucible Club will also contribute £300 to the Prize Fund.

Based on 32 entries the prize fund will be £1100.  Prize money for Top 16 Players in the League including £250 to the winner.

FORMAT

All matches to be played at the Crucible Sports & Social Club on a Tuesday Evening.

Matches are 5 legs of 501 with points being awarded for each leg.  2 Matches will be played by each player every Tuesday Evening starting at 20:00pm.

Results are submitted and a Money league table is produced.  The top 16 players in the league will all win cash prizes.

Each player has a guaranteed 10 legs of 501 to play each match night.
